I raced under the lights with the Cat 4 men and had a blast. While I am used to most everyone being "taller/bigger" than I, I completely forgot how ginormous men are. I took off at the start no faster than I normally do and somehow found myself out front. I considered this "odd" and glanced back to see what was going on when I was startled to see a wheel and leg. Normally I look back to see handlebars and arms. Nope, this dude was like 7 feet tall or something. I was very scared and thought that surely he must realize a "draft" simply did not exist and maybe he just wanted his knees and toes warm from the wind. Then I had one of the hardest wrecks I have had in years. It was great.
Sunday I raced in freezing cold temps, flurries, and 35mph wind....

mmm....food......

I rode my bike as fast as I could....

.... and I won a race (technically more by default because all of the big girls were at the USGP..but I'll still count it). No, it's not a "arm raise" but more of a really happy girl racing her bike going, "What can I say, I love this!"

The pic of you sprinting has determination written all over it! Eye of the tiger!
Face of pain leads to face of satisfaction! Way to string some great races together. Enjoy the moment.
Ok, so that last photo . . . looks like that guy in the background is totally taking a piss on your car!
So what, a girl beats all the men and they go and hose her ride?
HA, Great minds think alike. At first I too was like, "What the hell is that dude doing to Subbie?". I'm going to rip his other ball (having lost the first one in the race) off for hurting Subbie. But then I realized it wasn't Subbie....see the bumper?
